Aviva Shine Awards

Athletics Programmes

The Aviva Shine Awards are part of a series of programmes and supporting resources UKA has developed to show how the fundamental skills of running, jumping and throwing can be developed through a fun, child centred approach. The other programmes are as follows:

• Aviva Elevating Athletics – a multi media curriculum resource designed to assist in the planning and delivery of athletics of athletics for young people aged 5 – 16 years. • Virtual Athletics – an exciting and innovative online competition structure that can be run anywhere. This is a flexible programme, which allows the user to access a variety of formats depending upon their need. Virtual Athletics allows users to administer the achievement of the Aviva Shine Awards. • Aviva Sportshall – this is a competitive structure for young emerging athletes using sportshall events and activities. Visit www.sportshall.org for further information.
